Reblogging cause I’m heading to Chicago in April and want to be able to refer to these suggestions…I need first date restaurant recommendations. Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere. Very general, I know. But I was told to “pick anywhere” (in an endearing “you had a bad week, I’ll take you wherever you want” way, not a lazy “you pick, I don’t care way”, but i feel put on the spot) and all I really want is to go to Chicago Cut and eat a steak. But that seems like a bit much.

club lucky? it can get a little crowded, atmosphere-wise, but it’s a fun joint with an awesome menu and great bar.

A challenge! I’d say GT Fish & Oyster, I’d say Maude’s Liquor Bar, I’d say Lula Cafe (if outside of downtown is okay), I’d say The Bristol. Have fun, pretty lady, with this lucky fellow!

I’m biased toward Slurping Turtle, but I had great dinner and drinks at Farmhouse. There was a good energy, no stuffiness or anything.
